Our Champetre Camp is located just 30 minutes east of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and offer 2 prime hunting locations with exceptional terrain and abundant wildlife. Our Champetre Camp features a vacation ranch that is great for corporate groups of up to 12 hunters. The landscape here features rolling hills and numerous natural potholes, the perfect habitat for local duck populations and ideal for a dynamic Canada Goose hunting experience.
Our camp is especially known for its afternoon Snow Goose Hunts, a major advantage due to its eastern position, where hunting pressure is lighter and birds fly longer. With two distinct hunting setups offered daily, guests at our camp enjoy variety, action, and consistently high bird counts.

Saskatoon To Prairie Rose Outfitters – Champetre Camp Location
Departing Saskatoon, 20 miles east on Hwy 5 from Saskatoon, turn left and go north on St. Denis access. (If you are on highway 5 and reach Range Road 3042, you’ve gone about 1 mile too far). Then north through St. Denis an additional 2 miles. Then take a left turn at the Champetre sign. The lodge is 1/2 mile west on the south side of the road. You will see the saloon once you turn in.
- Nearest Airport: Fly into Saskatoon International Airport (YXE), served by most major North American Airlines.
- Vehicle Rental: A 4WD truck, SUV or van is highly recommended for navigating rural roads and accessing hunting sites.

Dafoe Camp – Quill Lakes Travel Information – Prairie Rose Outfitters
Planning your fall waterfowl hunting or spring Snow Goose hunting adventure near the legendary Quill Lakes? Our Dafoe Camp, located just north of Dafoe, Saskatchewan, places you in one of the most reliable and bird-rich areas in the Central Flyway. This region is known for its consistent migrations, nutrient-rich farmlands, and pothole-dotted terrain—creating a perfect staging ground for ducks, Canada Geese, and Snow Geese.
Positioned roughly 100 miles east of Saskatoon via Highway 16, or 100 miles north of Regina on Highway 6, Dafoe Camp offers prime access to one of North America’s most iconic waterfowl destinations. With diverse habitats and vast agricultural fields, it’s a proven hotspot for high-volume, multi-species hunts throughout the season.
The camp can accommodate up to 10 hunters with everyone having their own room. Independent shower and bathroom facilities add to the comfort of your stay.

Saskatoon To Prairie Rose Outfitters – Dafoe (Quill Lakes Location)
Departing Saskatoon, take Highway 16 towards Yorkton. From Saskatoon, go 150km (100 Miles), you will come to a junction with Highway 6. Go north (left) on Highway 6 about 1.6km (1 mile). Prairie Rose will be on the highway’s west (left) side. It is a long driveway with a large brown log house with a ‘no trespassing’ sign in the driveway.
Regina To Prairie Rose Outfitters – Dafoe (Quill Lakes Location)
Departing Regina International Airport, turn left onto Lewvan Drive. Lewvan Drive turns into Pasqua Street, follow that for about 33 miles, and take the Ring Road Ramp. Take Ring Road to the Sk-6/Albert Street exit towards SK-11. Keep left to take the SK-6 N ramp towards SK-11N Turn left onto Sk-6 for just short of 95 Miles.
- Nearest Airports: Fly into either Saskatoon International Airport (YXE) or Regina International Airport (YQR). Both are served by major North American Airlines with convenient flight options.
- Vehicle Rental: A 4WD truck, SUV or van is highly recommended for navigating rural roads and reaching field locations, especially in wet or snowy conditions.

Welcome to Quill Lakes – Dafoe Camp | Prairie Rose Outfitters
Experience some of the most action-packed waterfowl hunting in Saskatchewan at Dafoe Camp, located on the west side of the world-famous Quill Lakes. This region sits in the heart of one of Canada’s largest and most active migratory flyways, attracting massive populations of Canada Geese, Snow Geese, ducks, and Sandhill Cranes every fall.
At Prairie Rose Outfitters, we offer guided hunts within a 20-mile (35 km) radius of our lodge, often just a short 10-minute drive to the blinds. The surrounding farmland—rich in wheat, barley, and pea crops creates the ideal habitat to hold and attract migrating birds. Located on the Quill lakes at the very start of the Central Flyway migration, our fields host unpressured flocks that respond well to decoys and calling, making this one of the most productive regions for goose and duck hunting in Canada. Dafoe region and the Quill Lakes flyway are home to one of the largest Sand Hill Crane migrations in Canada. Early September crane hunts are available upon request.
