Merry Christmas – 2025

Dear Clients and Friends,

We hope this letter finds you well.

As fall 2025 comes to an end, I wanted to reach out with Christmas wishes and a short recap on the 2025 season.

The fall brought with it one of the best migration numbers through the Quill Lakes that I have seen in many years going back to 2015/2016. The snow geese arrived one week early and concentrated on the SW shores of the Quill Lake. The first 100,000 snow geese made their home across the highway from the lodge entrance.

Then came the Ross invasion in mid-September that brought big harvest numbers and great pics. The season continued with strong hunts of great numbers of duck, dark geese and sandhill crane. This continued through to the end of October when we wrapped up our season. We completed the year with some friend, family and local landowner hunts in early November. Check out our gallery below.

With over 7,000 birds harvested this year between both Dafoe and Champetre camps we had one of our best years in last 5, for sure.

We would not be able to do this without your participation and generosity to all our staff. For that we thank you.

We have already contacted 2025 clients and rebooked many for fall 2026. This leaves remaining open dates now available for fall 2026.

For spring 2026, we have a few openings yet but it’s a short season and it fills up fast so don’t wait. Please check our website at prairieroseoutfitters.com for more details.

We will see some of you in Nashville SCI, booth 501 under the trophy connection, in February and at other shows this winter.

I would like to thank the guides, cooks and cleaning staff for all their hard work this past year. We are all looking forward to the 2026 season.
